Cliff Edge

A project based in the critical re-deployment of creative methodologies used in contemporary ‘place-making’ architecture. Research, an evolving exhibition and workshops took place in Spitalfields, a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood where London’s financial district pushes up against the historically immigrant communities of its East End. A 40-story tower under construction just outside the exhibition space instantiates the metaphor of a ‘cliff edge’ sometimes used to describe this spatial and social condition of urban (re-)development.

Developed and exhibited at Raven Row, London, 2009
